Super Freezer

SuperFreezer refrigerated container units are designed to create and maintain ultra-low temperatures as low as -70°C to -30C to +50C to protect the most sensitive and valuable cargoes. Extreme low temperatures cause microbial decomposition to cease completely.

Its exceptional high performance offers protection for valuable pharmaceuticals or blood plasma, and preserves first-day product freshness of seafood (Grade A sashimi, tuna, salmon). As low as -65°C in 40ft special insulated containers, and -70°C in 10ft and 20ft special insulated containers.

The Thermoking SuperFreezer uses Dual compressor Cascade Technology. Thermoking uses two separate system, R-134A and R-23.
The Thermo King SuperFreezer achieves extreme low temperatures using “Cascade” technology. An advanced controller managing two separate refrigeration circuits with two different refrigerants work together to safely protect cargo. R-134 system is used to cool down R-22 system.

Some Keypointers in a SuperFreezer System

  • R-23 is a Low Temperature Stage used to cool down the evaporator which cools down the cargo.
  • R-134 is a High Temperature Stage used to cool down condenser of R-23 system
  • If due to any alarm R-134 system cuts-off or stops, R-23 will also stop. R-23 will start with a delay of 30secs after R-134 starts.
  • R-23 protective device auxiliary contactor is mounted on R-134 contactor.
  • If R-23 has Low Pressure Cut-Off, then both systems (R-134 and R-23) will shut down.
  • In an empty container, R-23 should not be charged before R-134. While charging empty container with R-23 from the receiver tank until both suction and discharge pressures are equal, which indicates adequate charge.
  • Vacuum Plug is to avoid negative pressure inside the container by putting fresh air.
